King George Whiting Charter
Whiting are the bay's best eating fish and a favourite with families. Light gear, steady action and a full esky.
About this trip
From January through to September we target King George whiting. It is light-tackle fishing with lots of bites, which makes it a great trip for kids and anyone new to fishing, as well as regulars chasing a feed.
If the bites slow the crew moves quickly to find them. Guests regularly go home with a good bag of whiting each.

What to bring
- Clothing to suit the season — it is cooler on the water
- Non-slip shoes, ideally heavy-duty rubber soles

- Your own food and snacks — only light refreshments are provided
- An esky to take your catch home. Leave it in your car, as space on board is limited
- A current Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence (purchase before the trip)
Departure
Trips depart from St Kilda Marina or Werribee Marina depending on the charter and the season. We confirm your meeting point and time with your booking.
- Morning: 5:00am – 10:00am
- Midday: 10:30am – 3:30pm
- Evening: 4:00pm – 9:00pm (seasonal and daylight-saving periods only)
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. Shared charters cannot wait for latecomers.
Weather, deposits and cancellations
We fish rain, hail or shine and only cancel when conditions are a safety concern. If the boat cannot leave the marina, your trip is rebooked. Weather is advised the day before.
A 50% deposit by bank transfer secures your booking, due 7 days before departure for individual seats and 14 days before for group bookings. The balance is paid in cash on the day or by bank transfer the day before. Cancellations the day before and no-shows are non-refundable.
