About this trip
Gummy sharks are one of Port Phillip Bay's best sport and eating fish, and from January to September this is the trip to chase them. It is a whole-boat booking, so your group has the boat and the crew to yourselves.
It suits birthdays, work groups, family days and mates who want a bigger fish and a longer session. Whole-boat hire is subject to availability and agreement, and we confirm every detail with you before the day.

What to bring
- Clothing to suit the season — it is cooler on the water
- Non-slip shoes, ideally heavy-duty rubber soles
- Sunglasses and a hat
- Your own food and snacks — only light refreshments are provided
- An esky to take your catch home. Leave it in your car, as space on board is limited
- A current Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence (purchase before the trip)
Departure
Trips depart from St Kilda Marina or Werribee Marina depending on the charter and the season. We confirm your meeting point and time with your booking.
Whole-boat departure times are agreed with your group when the crew confirms your booking.
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure.
Weather, deposits and cancellations
We fish rain, hail or shine and only cancel when conditions are a safety concern. If the boat cannot leave the marina, your trip is rebooked. Weather is advised the day before.
A 50% deposit by bank transfer secures your booking, due 14 days before departure for group bookings. The balance is paid in cash on the day or by bank transfer the day before. Cancellations the day before and no-shows are non-refundable.
